I’ve previously posted about how I created content on San Francisco, Amsterdam, and Berlin for Jeff of walkli.com. Jeff and the crew at Walkli particularly liked my walking tour of San Francisco’s Castro and Mission neighborhoods. In fact, they named it the #4 walk of 2017! I still have at least a couple more walks of San Francisco I have in mind. One of these days, when I find the time, I’ll sit down on get to work on them. At least one of them should be a bit of a challenge. Climbing up and down San Francisco’s 3 most famous of its many steep hills would challenge anyone.
Walkli’s Jeff likes my walking tours so much, he brought me up while he was being interviewed by Cindy of One Perfect Day In. As you can guess by the name, Cindy’s website focuses on how you can make the best of one day in many fabulous places around the globe. As a follow-up to her interview with Jeff, Cindy had me contribute my thoughts on how to spend a perfect day in Amsterdam. If you know me, you know that Amsterdam is one of my favorite places on earth. (My contribution is on the interview page, near the bottom.)
Cindy’s home base is Atlanta. She’s hoping to interview me in person sometime in Atlanta about my travel activities for her podcast. I’d love that! But other than the enormous (and enormously named) Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, I’ve never set foot in Atlanta. Atlanta and Detroit are the most major American cities that I’ve only passed through and never spent any significant time in. Some day I want to do a tour of the US Southeast, with Atlanta as the primary destination. (I’ll similarly hit up Detroit on a tour of the Midwest at some point in the future.)
Recently, Cindy made a visit to my adopted home state of California. She was actually spending a couple days in my erstwhile home city of Los Angeles. With LA being just a short flight from San Francisco, I initially made plans to meet Cindy there to do the interview. But I realized I had conflicting plans and had to cancel. One of these days, Cindy and I will get together. We’ll either get together face-to-face, or Cindy will set up to interview me for her podcast remotely. The good news of Billy’s Cities will continue to spread!
