As day 12 began, I was up and running. It wasn’t until later in the day when I finally sat down and had a snack. At the cafe at the National Museum, I got a paneer parantha. I guess you could call it an Indian grilled cheese.
In the evening, I had a fantastic dinner. The pictures show how good everything was. The only problem is that I have no recollection of it. It’s strange because when I go through my food diary, I can remember just about every meal I had in India. But not this one. I know it had to be delicious though.
For starters, I had paneer tikka tandoori–Indian cottage cheese baked with spices. That looks good!
For the main course, I had fish jalfrezi–sole fish fillets pan cooked with ginger, garlic, and spices, tossed with green capiscum (pepper), tomato and onion. I mean does that sound good or what! Technically it’s a curry. But it’s not real saucy, so it’s my kind of curry.
Naturally I got an order of Indian bread This time I ordered onion kulcha. Kulcha is yet another type of India flatbread.
To wrap up what by all accounts should have been a most memorable meal on my last full night in India, I got a tutti frutti!
Now you would really think that I would remember this. But I don’t! The only thing I could think was that I must have been completely exhausted. Well, just one day to go!
