Okay, as promised, here’s the entire 2019 local sightseeing season food diary in 1 fell swoop.
Day 1: Walnut Creek
I started things off with a hearty breakfast of pancakes and chicken apple sausage at Walnut Creek‘s Black Bear Diner.
After a great time with my friend Lyle at the Lindsay Wildlife Experience, Lyle took me to a local Chinese restaurant. It seems that I started things off with crab Rangoons.
I love fried rice! Looks like there might be some shrimp in there.
And I got more? I must have been stuffed as I headed back to San Francisco. It definitely looks like orange chicken to me.
Day 2: Berkeley Hills
As I’m sure you remember, my friend Kevin and I started off our day in the Berkeley Hills at Claremont Hotel & Spa in Oakland, where my friend John joined us for breakfast. It looks like I had scrambled eggs, deliciously seasoned potatoes, and some sort of poultry sausage.
Day 3: Palo Alto
Before exploring the Stanford University campus, Kevin and I had breakfast in Palo Alto. I’m surprised it took me till Day 3 before I had an omelet. I got 1 with Monterrey jack cheese, mushroom, and tomato, accompanied by wheat toast and hash browns.
Later in the day, I got a snack of shiitake mushroom soup at the cafe at Cantor Arts Center on Stanford’s campus (which we know is not in Palo Alto).
And there you have it–a season of good food!
