Before I started my day of sightseeing in Oakland, I had breakfast in Rockridge. Rockridge is a quaint neighborhood in the northern part of Oakland on the border with Berkeley. I went to a nice café called appropriately enough Rockridge Cafe. You can see that I got a hearty breakfast. I got a 3-egg omelet with green onion, mushroom, tomato, and jack cheese. To make sure it was hearty enough, I got a side of chicken-apple sausage. A great way to start off the season!
I’m pretty sure I had lunch at the Oakland Museum of California. But I have no picture and no notes. So maybe I did, maybe I didn’t.
I definitely know that I had dinner in Oakland Chinatown. If you were going to be in Chinatown in any city at dinnertime, wouldn’t you have dinner? Unfortunately, I don’t remember exactly what I had. It looks like spicy orange chicken. Let’s go with that! My friend David joined me for dinner and we had a nice time.
Well, whether I had lunch that day or not, and regardless of what I had for dinner, I think you can agree with me that the dining side of things for the 2018 local sightseeing season got off to a very good start.
