I picked out a place in SoMa for breakfast. Unfortunately, the kitchen didn’t open till an hour after the doors opened. That was sort of annoying, so I went to another place down the street that turned out to be great: Soma Inn Café. I’ve actually been back twice since. I went all in (or is that all out?) and got the banana streusel–French toast topped with banana, 4-berry sauce, whipped cream, and powder cinnamon sugar–with a side of turkey sausage. What a treat!
I started off Day 3 (and spent most of the day, actually) in SoMa, the area south of Market Street. Historically a district packed with warehouses and gay bars, it’s now an area in transition. [Read more…]
